Media Psychology - course despription

Media consumption is part of our everyday lifes. Actually, I take it for granted that you already consumed media today. Whether it was by using a messenger on your smartphone, sharing thoughts in social media, watching a series on your tablet. Or at least by reading the information on this seminar right now. But why did you chose to upload your holiday pics on Insta or to watch Stranger Things? And does this change how you think about the world? If you are interested in why people choose certain media, and how they are affected by media consumption in the way they think and feel, this seminar may meet your interests.

Registration deadlines for SuK courses in the summer term 2023

The SuK accompanying study programme starts on 11.04.2023 with the courses.
The course catalog will be published on 15.03.2023.

The following course registration deadlines apply:

Phase 1 - Registration for lottery procedure:
30.03.2023, 08:00 a.m. – 31.03.2023, 08:00 a.m.
Lottery will start on 31.03.2023, 08:01 pm

Phase 2 - Direct allocation of remaining places:
31.03.2023, 12:00 p.m. – 21.04.2023, 12:00 p.m.

• In phase 1, please apply on your own for your desired course(s) via my.h-da.de (Vorlesungsverzeichnis/ Button "Platz beantragen"). During phase 1, you can register for a maximum of two SuK courses.
• You will find out whether you have been allocated your desired place before the start of phase 2 via my.h-da.de / Meine Veranstaltungen.
• In phase 2, you can register directly for the places that are still available and are marked in the SuK course catalogue ("freie Plätze"). You can still register for courses that are already fully booked and you will therefore initially be on the waiting list. You will automatically move up if a person who has already been admitted deregisters.
• Please note that a registration after the end of phase 2 is excluded.

Exam registration:
The registration for all examinations in the Begleitstudium SuK is mandatory.
Please register for each examination (written exam, term paper, presentation etc.). Exam registration is possible in the following period:

Monday, 15.15.2023 00:00 a.m. – Friday, 16.06.2023 11:59 p.m.

A registration for the examination will only be valid if you have been previously admitted to the course, which will be checked by us. If you are not admitted to the course, your registration will be deleted. 
An exam registration after the expiry of the registration deadline is excluded, regardless of the reason for not registering.
